TLS/SSL Tunnel 2.1

TLS/SSL Tunnel facilitates TLS Connections for other terminal programs such as ConnectBot by establishing a connection from a local port to a remote TLS secured application. Setting up your tunnel permits you to connect with your terminal program via the local port.

• No root access required.
• Supports CAcert certificates.
• Intended solely for services with TLS support on the remote side.

Rights:

• Internet access is necessary for operational reasons.
• Apps2SD functionality is not supported due to the requirement of a background service for managing tunnels and connections.
• Reading from external storage is necessary to import certificates stored on the device.

Note:

If you require the use of a self-signed certificate, you have two options:

1. You can add it to your standard Android keystore by navigating to Settings > Security > Install from SD Card.
2. Alternatively, you can import the Certificate from within Tunnel and configure your Tunnel to use "Custom Cert Store".
3. To import "file.pem" from local storage, enter the filename or use "file:" as a prefix. The file will be searched in the local "external storage area" (usually /storage/emulated/0 but may vary).

(Note: Some users have reported compatibility issues with Oreo / Android 8.1)
